Educator interviews
Share your experience with student writing
I’m Russell Van Brocklen, founder of DyslexiaClasses.com and a participant in Clarkson University’s Regional NSF I-Corps Fall 2026 cohort.
I’m speaking with teachers, literacy specialists, and school leaders to learn how student writing is supported in practice, how decisions are made, and what happens when support changes. The goal is to learn from day-to-day experience rather than assume what educators need.
This is a conversation to learn from your experience—not a sales call or a product demonstration. Experiences where current support works well are just as useful as experiences where something remains difficult.

A 25-minute conversation. We reserve 30 minutes on the calendar. No preparation is needed.
Check the time zone shown on the booking page. Use an email address you can access on the device you will use for the conversation.

The conversation
What we will talk about
For teachers and specialists, I’m interested in recent experiences supporting student writing: what you noticed, what you did, what worked, and what happened next.
For school leaders, I’m interested in how writing and literacy needs are identified, how decisions are made, and how changes work out in practice.
You do not need to review a program, prepare a presentation, or bring examples of student work.
Participation
Who can take part?
I’m currently inviting adult teachers, literacy specialists, and school leaders. Grades 3–8 are a particular focus, but relevant experience in other grades can also be useful.
Ground rules
Before we speak
Please do not send student names, education records, or work that identifies a student. During the conversation, discuss examples without identifying children or families.
Participation is voluntary. You may skip a question or stop the conversation. I use interview notes to record what we learn for this customer discovery project.
Booking an interview does not sign you up for a newsletter or a sales sequence.
